Isaac's Pirate Ship

Isaac researched what a pirate ship looks like online and based his design on the images he found!

  1. Totally awesome Isaac! What a magnificent pirate ship you have built to sail upon the seven seas of your house. I'm really impressed with how you have managed to build the bow of the ship with those angles - can you tell us how you did that?
I once built a boat out of cardboard and entered a race in a swimming pool over one length of the pool. If only I had your design I might have won the race!
I like your pirate patch, mast, sail and flag as well.
    Have a great day.

  2. Hi Isaac,
Wow! That is a fantastic pirate ship you've created! How long did it take you to build it? I was also impressed with how you've created the bow of the ship.
    Fantastic design, well done!

  5. Hi Isaac
What a wonderful Pirate Ship, it looks like you have spent a lot of time making it. Did you use cardboard from around home? Does it float? Great job Isaac, enjoy your next task.

    Hi Isaac.
Well done. What an amazing pirate ship you have designed. I love that you can sit in it.
I also like the bird with the pirate hat that you have added.

  7. Hi Isaac,
I love your pirate ship, especially because it is big enough for you to fit into it. I like the details with the parrot and your eye patch of course.. What did you use to cut the cardboard so well?

  8. Thanks for all your comments. It took about 2 and a half hours to build. I think our ship would sink because it had some holes in the cardboard and the mast is an umbrella stand with a concrete base!

To make the bow of the ship we cut the cardboard into triangles. It took a while to do. Dad had the cardboard left over from work . I got Dad to help cut the cardboard with a craft knife. We had to do it outside because Mum didn't want any mess on the carpet! From Isaac
