Petra's Cake for Grandma

 Hi Everyone

It was so lovely to see you all again today.

Here is the cake I was showing you.  I made it using cardboard, paper, paint and wool for the decorations.  It is a vanilla cream cake with strawberry icing.  I really enjoyed making the fringe around the bottom using red paper and scissors.  The decorations are made in real Big Bad Wolf style, they are bunny tails (but really they are just pom poms that I made from wool).

I can't wait to see what you all have to share on your next blog.

  1. Wow Petra. That is so cool since you are not very good at baking cakes. You are very talented. How long did it take to make?

    1. Hi Austin, thank you. The cake took me quite some time to make because I had to figure out how to make the cardboard round. I had to make the pom poms which I did while I was watching T.V. It probably took me about 2 hours in total.

  2. Petra what an amazing cake you have made. Well done to you. Thanks for sharing this with us all. All the flavours sound amazing but I would recommend that you don't eat it.

  3. Petra - you had me fooled when Bubble School joined the Google Hangout this afternoon . . . I thought it was a real cake! It certainly does look realistic and good enough to eat but perhaps you should take Mr G's recommendation not to eat it.

  5. Petra you had me fooled at first as well! What a amazing colourful cake and I love the flavour you have used for the cake. Do you think you could make this for real? I am sure everyone at school would love to try it.

    1. Mrs T, I'm not the best baker of cakes. Maybe I could give it a try some time, I don't think I would add the bunny tales though!
